This photograph was taken from the afternoon Pogradec to Tiranė train on 12 May 2004 whilst travelling over the viaduct at Fushtriza, which is the highest and longest in Albania. Note the lack of parapet on the viaduct, and also the line-up of photographers on the road.

This is the station and signalbox at Shkozet (just outside Durrės), and must be a strong candidate for the most tasteless colour scheme on a railway structure anywhere in the world. The green paint has been over-sprayed onto the windows of the signalbox operating room. 12 May 2004.
