A line used to run north-west from Kranj some 16km to Tržič but is now closed beyond Naklo (5km from Kranj) and only sees freight traffic. SŽ diesel multiple unit 713/715-111 is seen at Naklo station on the railtour on 4 April 2004.

A lot of snow fell overnight 6/7 April 2004 in the Ljubljana area and west thereof, as can be seen in this view of Jesenice station on 7 April. SŽ class 312 electric multiple unit is departing towards Ljubljana; the lines to the left are a freight line to the local steelworks and the passenger route towards Nova Gorica.
