ŽFBH diesel locomotive 661-267 temporarily in foreign territory at Drenovci in Croatia on 27 August 2003. Having arrived earlier from Tuzla, it will soon return home: this pair of trains is the only passenger service across the Bosnia-Hercegovina - Croatia border at the Brcko - Gunja crossing.Previous | NextThere are two Croatian railway routes on the Istrian peninsula that are completely separate from the remainder of the HŽ system. They are only accessible by rail through Slovenia, crossing the border at Rakitovec/Buzet. At Lupoglav the line splits into two: a little-used freight line to Raša and the passenger route to Pula (see other photo). Particularly at the northern end, the scenery on both routes is rugged and spectacular, the lines running high above the valley floors. After emerging from a tunnel just south of Ucka on the line to Raša, Slovenian Railways diesel multiple unit 711-001/002 pauses for photographs in limestone scenery on a railtour on 3 April 2004.
