The Mala Rijeka viaduct is the highest railway bridge in the world, being 198m (650ft) from rail level to river level. It lies in Montenegro between Kolašin and Podgorica on the Beograd - Bar line and was completed in 1976. This view was taken on 3 September 2001 from the afternoon Bar to Beograd train a short distance before curving around onto the viaduct. The river bed (dry on this date) is at the bottom of the gorge between the two tallest piers.Previous | NextTENT (Termoelektrana 'Nicola Tesla') electric locomotives 443-04 (left) and 441-02 at Obrenovac power station on 29 August 2003. The TENT system runs for a total of over 50km from coal loading sidings at Vreoci, adjacent to the Beograd - Požega line, to power stations at Obrenovac and Vorbis. The Czech-built 443s haul the trains through the coal loading and unloading areas, and the 441s, similar to the Jugoslav 441s, haul the trains between Vreoci and the power stations.
