This photograph was taken from the afternoon Pogradec to Tiranė train on 12 May 2004 whilst travelling over the viaduct at Fushtriza, which is the highest and longest in Albania. Note the lack of parapet on the viaduct, and also the line-up of photographers on the road.

HSH diesel locomotive T669 1059 stands at the head of the 13:08 train from Pogradec to Tiranė on 12 May 2004. The disused works at Pogradec can be seen in the background.Previous | NextThis is the station and signalbox at Shkozet (just outside Durrės), and must be a strong candidate for the most tasteless colour scheme on a railway structure anywhere in the world.
