Believe it or not, this train belongs to Hungarian National Railways (MÁV)! This is the 13:55 departure from Somosgyszentpal to Balatonfenyves GV, with locomotive 5727 hauling one coach. This is one of the lines of the Balatonfenyvesi gazdasagi vasut (Balatonfenyves Farm Railway) and was built in the mid 1950s at 760mm gauge. Under threat of closure for some time, most of the Balatonfenyves system closed at the end of August 2002, leaving a limited seasonal service on some routes.

Index | NextM62 517, one of MÁV's M62s fitted with broad (1520mm) gauge bogies, is seen at Eperjeske (Záhony) on 30 April 2002. The locomotive is pulling a train through the ore transfer plant where loaded broad gauge wagons are emptied for later loading into standard (1435mm) gauge wagons.
