Some distance east of Graz in Styria is the Steiermärkishe Landesbahnen route between Feldbach and Bad Gleichenberg. Unusually the line is electrified at 1.8kV dc. This view taken on 21 March 2002 shows railcar ET1 at the terminus at Bad Gleichenberg; this is one of two cars dating from the opening of the line in 1931, though it has been rebuilt extensively.Previous | NextThe Zillertalbahn is a very pleasant and scenic 760mm gauge line running south from Jenbach, about 35km east of Innsbruck. In this view of Mayrhofen, the southern terminus, on 10 April 2004, power unit VT6 plus two trailers are about to work the 13:35 departure to Jenbach. One of the many cable car routes can be seen beyond the station.
